Tarpaulins in trailers play a key protective role, protecting the transported load from various external factors , such as rain, snow, wind, dust, dirt and dust, which guarantees cleanliness and protection of goods from moisture and damage. They also prevent fading and degradation of UV-sensitive loads, and also constitute an additional protective barrier against theft and mechanical damage, ensuring safe transport in all conditions.
When to use the kit:
- holes or cracks in the tarpaulin – when you notice damage that may cause a leak.
- material abrasions – to prevent further tearing of the tarpaulin.
- regular maintenance – to strengthen areas particularly exposed to wear.
Repair instructions:
- The tarpaulin to be repaired should be clean, and any dirt should be removed.
- Rub the damaged tarpaulin with sandpaper to matt it, which will help the glue hold better.
- Then use a degreasing wipe to remove any dust and dirt.
- Prepare a patch according to the size of the tarpaulin damage - remember that the patch should be larger than the damage.
- Apply an even layer of glue with a brush onto the previously prepared patch.
- For best results, apply a thin, even layer of glue to the damaged and cleaned tarpaulin section.
- Stick the patch onto the damaged tarpaulin and smooth it out carefully to remove any air bubbles.
- Remove excess glue and material if necessary.
- Press both pieces of tarpaulin material together for better adhesive performance.
- Wait according to the recommendations on the adhesive packaging.
