The flat and convex towing mirror is a universal accessory mirror that mounts to the factory side mirror . The dual-lens design expands the viewing range, and full adjustment allows for the ideal viewing angle. The clamp-on mounting system fits most mirrors; ladder straps securely hold them in place and reduce vibration while driving. The mirror is universal, allowing it to be mounted on the left or right side of the vehicle. The product is ECE R46 approved .
The flat section of the mirror displays a full-scale image, facilitating precise assessment of distance and vehicle speed. The convex section slightly reduces the image but significantly widens the field of view , revealing blind spots at the side of the mirror. In practice, you gain both precision (flat) and a wide angle (convex), making it easier to change lanes, overtake, reverse, and park with a caravan, boat, or cargo trailer.
