Trail Angel Bike Tow Bar - Red
The Trail Angel is a practical tow bar for a child's bike that allows you to connect the youngest cyclist's bike to an adult's. This solution is perfect for family trips when the child needs a break, the route is too long, or the parent wants more control over the pace and direction of travel. The tow bar helps keep the child's bike stable, making for a more comfortable and safer ride together.
The red model is designed to be mounted between an adult's and a child's bike. Before purchasing and installing, please ensure that both bikes meet the manufacturer's technical requirements.
Requirements for an adult bicycle:
- minimum wheel diameter: 25",
- metal seat post,
- seat post diameter from 25.4 to 31.8 mm.
Requirements for a child's bike:
- wheels with a diameter of 10" to 20",
- handlebar bracket diameter from 34 to 45 mm,
- not compatible with Woom bikes,
- Front rigid axle; Quick Release axle requires adapter no. 974, available separately.
Specified load limits must be adhered to during use. The maximum weight of a child is 30 kg , and a children's bike can weigh a maximum of 15 kg. The total weight of the towed combination—the child and bike—must not exceed 45 kg. The adult riding the bike should be confident and have a suitable body weight—at least twice the child's weight.
Before assembly, check that brake lines, additional accessories, or other bicycle components will not interfere with the proper operation of the handlebar. If the children's bike has training wheels, they should be removed or rotated upwards to prevent them from interfering with the tow bar while riding.
The Trail Angel is designed for children who can already sit on a bike, hold the handlebars, and pedal independently, but may still require adult support for longer distances. For safety, both the child and the adult should wear approved helmets. Knee and elbow pads, as well as weather-appropriate clothing, are also recommended for children.
The red Trail Angel bike carrier is a great solution for families who want to plan shared bike routes more conveniently. It allows a child to combine independent cycling with adult assistance when distance, fatigue, or a more challenging section of the route require it.
Properly installing the bar requires basic workshop tools. Tools are not included in the kit , so you should prepare them yourself before starting work.
