HEFFA CARLINE 130 tow truck transport belt wheel securing belt 5m/50mm/5t VDI 2700

Transport belt for tow trucks and car trailers by HEFFA , 5 m long and 50 mm wide , designed to secure vehicle wheels by strapping the tire . It is distinguished by a 3-point fastening system , which ensures excellent vehicle stabilization on the tow truck or platform. Thanks to the load capacity of 5 tons (5000 daN), the belt works perfectly even when transporting heavier passenger cars. This solution is commonly used in vehicle transport - both by transport companies and logistics operators working for leading car manufacturers. This set is ideal for use on LOHR platforms, single- and multi-level tow trucks and in multi-point vehicle fastening systems. It guarantees quick assembly, durability and transport safety even in difficult road conditions.

The belt is equipped with a special protective cover – the so-called "grass"130 cm long, with side flaps protecting the belt and tire from sliding and damage. The rough rubber placed on the surface of the belt increases friction and precisely presses the belt to the tire, eliminating the risk of wheel displacement while driving.

The belt is made of durable PES material (100%) , resistant to abrasion and stretching, and its design includes three rotating steel hooks - two attached to the belt and one integrated with the tensioner. All metal elements, including the buckle, are solid and resistant to corrosion, ensuring a secure and stable attachment. An additional advantage is the rubberized tensioner handle , which improves comfort even when wearing gloves.

    Approvals

    VDI Directive 2700

The VDI 2700 Part 8.1 Directive is a German technical standard that specifies detailed requirements for securing vehicles transported on flatbed trailers and trailers . In relation to lashing straps, with wheel strapping, this directive specifies, among other things, the method of belt arrangement, the required number of lashing points (e.g. 3-point system), minimum tension force parameters and the principles of their marking and technical approvals. Compliance with VDI 2700 8.1 means that the straps meet rigorous requirements in terms of safety, reliability and effectiveness of immobilisation of the transported vehicle , which is crucial for professional transport of passenger cars and vans. Thanks to this, the user can be sure that the used lashing system meets the current European and German standards in the field of road safety.

    Approvals

    TÜV Rheinland and TÜV SÜD

TÜV Rheinland and TÜV SÜD certificates confirm that the transport belts have been tested by independent certification bodies and meet strict safety, quality and durability standards. This means that they have been subjected to strength tests to check their resistance to loads, mechanical damage and the impact of weather conditions. Both certificates provide the user with a guarantee that the product can be safely used in road transport in accordance with applicable European requirements.

    EN 12195-2 standard

This is a European standard specifying the requirements for lashing straps with manual tensioner used to secure loads in road transport. The EN 12195-2 standard defines, among other things, the values of tension forces (SHF), lashing force (LC), strap strength, dynamic tests and the method of product marking. Straps certified in accordance with this standard meet all European safety requirements and can be legally used throughout the EU.

    Tensile strength (LC)

    Tensile strength (LC)

A strapping strength of 5 tons (5000 daN) is the maximum load that the strap can safely hold when used to strap a vehicle wheel – one of the most common methods of securing cars on flatbed trailers. This method of securing ensures even force distribution , greater vehicle stability on the platform and reduced risk of load shifting while driving.

    Straight Tension Strength (LC)

    Straight Tension Strength (LC)

The lashing strap has a simple tension strength of 2.5 tons (2500 daN) , which means the maximum load it can hold when lashed from point to point - without wrapping around the load. This value is typically half that of strapping and indicates safe limits of use when simply tensioned. For effective load securing, it is recommended to use at least two straps in a symmetrical arrangement , which allows for even distribution of forces and stable immobilization of the vehicle or goods during transport.

    Standard Tension Force (STF)

The belt tension force is 500 daN , which means that the belt exerts pressure equivalent to 500 kg of force on the load, effectively securing it from shifting during transport. This is an important parameter defining the force that can be obtained with standard belt tension using a tensioner. Such a high value of the tension force ensures solid immobilization of even heavier vehicles or machines, increasing the safety of the load during transport.

    Standard Hand Force (SHF)

A manual tension force (SHF) of 50 daN means that the user should apply a force equivalent to 50 kg to properly tension the lashing strap using the tensioner. This value guarantees ergonomic and safe use , allowing effective securing of the load without excessive physical effort. The SHF parameter is crucial when selecting a strap, because it determines the force that should be applied manually to achieve the desired clamping force and ensure stability of the load during transport.

    ETA efficiency

The ETA (Efficiency of Tensioning Assembly) value determines the effectiveness of the sleeve in the load securing system – i.e. the ratio of the tensioning force transferred by the sleeve to the force applied by the tensioner. A value of ≥ 0.5 means that the sleeve transfers at least 50% of the tensioning force , which indicates its good efficiency and effectiveness in protecting both the belt and the load surface from abrasion, damage or movement. This ETA level is considered safe and complies with the requirements of European standards in road transport.

    Maximum stretchability

The maximum stretchability of a wheel securing strap determines the percentage increase in its length under full load. In the case of this strap, it is less than 4% , which means minimal elongation during tensioning . Low stretchability provides greater stability of the secured load, limits its movement and effectively reduces the risk of damage during transport, especially in the event of sudden changes in force or shocks.
