KNOTT KF27B overrun device with K27A hitch for a 2700 kg trailer with a V-type drawbar
The KNOTT KF27-B overrun device is a versatile solution for braked trailers and flatbed trailers with a V-shaped drawbar , with a total weight ranging from 1,400 kg to 2,700 kg . It has a maximum permissible vertical load of 150 kg, ensuring optimal load distribution between the trailer and the towing vehicle. The KF27-B device is equipped with a K27-A ball coupling, ensuring a stable connection to the vehicle.
An overrun device is an advanced solution that significantly improves the safety and comfort of driving with a trailer or flatbed trailer. Its use shortens stopping distances and maintains a stable driving path when braking the combination . The device automatically brakes the towed vehicle, cooperating with the vehicle's braking system, supporting its operation and improving traffic flow. Using an overrun device not only increases road safety but also helps reduce wear and tear on the towing vehicle's braking system. Furthermore, this device is also extremely functional when stationary, effectively preventing the vehicle from rolling forward or backward.
The device offers two mounting options: top or bottom of the drawbar , providing flexibility in adapting to different trailer designs. However, note that the maximum permissible drawbar height for bottom mounting is 100 mm. This mounting versatility allows for optimizing weight distribution, adapting to different trailer designs, and adapting to specific application requirements, ensuring the device's safety and efficiency in a variety of applications.

K27-A ball hitch
The installed KNOTT K27-A ball coupling , made of durable cast iron, ensures a solid and secure connection to the towing vehicle, as well as maximum durability and load resistance. It is equipped with a coupling wear indicator that indicates when components need to be replaced, allowing users to continuously monitor technical condition and assess suitability for further use.

Anti-corrosion protection
The overrun device with a galvanized housing utilizes advanced anti-corrosion technology. The galvanizing process creates a durable coating over the entire surface of the component, effectively protecting against rust, corrosion, and mechanical damage. The housing withstands extreme weather conditions, including moisture, road salt, and temperature fluctuations , which is crucial for devices constantly exposed to harsh road conditions. This protection ensures the device retains its properties for a long time, minimizing the need for maintenance and replacement. This translates into long-term savings and reliability during trailer operation.
