KNOTT KF27B overrun device with K27A hitch for 2700 kg trailer with V-type drawbar
The KF27-B overrun device from KNOTT is a versatile solution designed for trailers and trailers braked with a "V" type drawbar, with a total weight from 1400 kg to 2700 kg. It is characterized by a maximum permissible vertical load of 150 kg, which ensures optimal load distribution between the trailer and the towing vehicle. The KF27-B device is equipped with a K27-A ball coupling, which ensures a stable connection with the vehicle.
The overrun device is an advanced solution that significantly improves the safety and comfort of driving with a trailer or tow truck. Thanks to its use, it is possible to shorten the stopping distance and maintain a stable driving track when braking the set. The device automatically brakes the towed vehicle, cooperating with the car's braking system, which supports its operation and affects the smoothness of traffic. Using the overrun device not only increases road safety, but also contributes to reducing the wear of the braking system in the towing vehicle. Additionally, this device is also extremely functional when stationary, enabling effective blocking of the vehicle from rolling forwards or backwards.
The device offers two mounting options: on the top or bottom of the drawbar, providing flexibility in adapting to different trailer designs. However, it should be noted that when mounted bottom, the maximum permissible drawbar height is 100 mm. This mounting versatility allows for optimisation of weight distribution, adaptation to different trailer designs and adaptation to specific application requirements, ensuring the safety and efficiency of the device in a variety of applications.
K27-A ball hitch
The installed K27-A ball coupling from KNOTT, made of durable cast iron, ensures a solid and safe connection to the towing vehicle and maximum durability and load resistance. It is equipped with a coupling wear indicator, which informs about the need to replace elements, allowing users to continuously monitor the technical condition and assess suitability for further use.
Anti-corrosion protection
The galvanized housing drive-on device uses advanced anti-corrosion protection technology. The galvanizing process creates a durable coating on the entire surface of the element, effectively protecting against rust, corrosion and mechanical damage. The housing withstands extreme weather conditions, including moisture, road salt and temperature fluctuations, which is crucial for devices constantly exposed to difficult road conditions. Thanks to this protection, the device maintains its properties for a long time, minimizing the need for maintenance and replacement. This translates into long-term savings and reliability during trailer operation.
